2025 Chargers Early Season Invite

Graham Aquatic Center, York, PA

The SCAY Aqualions electrified the Graham Aquatic Center during the Chargers Early Season Invite October 11-12, 2025. 32 SCAY swimmers participated across all age groups. Overall, State College placed 6^th of the 8 teams invited.

8 and under results:

Phaedra Robbins posted 3 best times over the weekend 25 butterfly (32.20), 25 freestyle (27.26), and 100 freestyle (placed 10^th overall, 2:14.85).

Daniel Frenandez-Murillo also posted 3 best times at York. Daniel placed first in the 50 breaststroke (44.48), second in the 100 IM (1:31.51), and second in the 100 Butterfly. He also placed third in the 50 Backstroke and fifth in the boys 10 and under 200 Medley relay along with teammates Grayson Mercier, RoRo Robbins, and Luke Roy (3:12.52).

Luke Roy raced to four personal bests, including his 50 free as the anchor of the Boys 10 and Under Medley relay (47.36). Luke placed 15^th in his individual 50 free (51.64) and 25^th in the Boys 25 Freestyle (23.48).

10 and Under Results:

Beatriz Barcellos had great swims in York. She posted best times in the 50 freestyle (36.67), 100 IM (1:39.87), 50 Butterfly (45.26), and 50 Backstroke (44.15). She also placed 5^th in the 10 and under 200 Medley Relay swimming the breaststroke leg (55.60) with teammates Crystal He, Tris Harvey, and Olivia Schuffert.

Sedge Bartell swam her way to three top ten finishes and 4 personal bests. She placed 8^th in the 10 and under 200 free relay with teammates Olivia McClafferty, Crystal He, and Tris Harvey. Individually, Sedge placed second in the 200 breaststroke (3:57.37), 8^th in the 50 breaststroke (50.08), 38^th in the 50 Freestyle (41.92), and 23^rd in the 100 IM (1:41.28).

Tris Harvey had a strong start to the season at York. Tris posted best times in the 100 Butterfly (3^rd;1:30.67), 200 Butterfly (1^st;3:19.19), and 100 Breaststroke (2^nd; 1:33.09). Tris also placed 3^rd in the 100 IM (1:26.41) and 1^st in the 100 Freestyle (1:13.27) and placed 5^th as the Butterfly leg of the 200 Medley Relay. She also anchored the 200 Freestyle Relay, placing 8^th with teammates Olivia McClafferty, Crystal He, and Sedge Bartell.

Crystal He had a strong start to the season at York. In addition to placing 8^th in the 200 Freestyle Relay and 5^th in the 200 Medley Relay, she posted best times in her individual events. She placed 11^th in the 100 Backstroke (1:40.76), 7^th in the 100 Butterfly (1:42.61), 26^th in the 100 IM (1:44.95), 3^rd in the 200 IM (3:41.24), and 28^th in the 100 Freestyle (1:46.78).

Olivia McClafferty placed 8^th in the 200 Freestyle relay with teammates Sedge, Cystal, and Tris. She posted 3 best times in her individual events as well. Olivia raced to 23^rd in the 100 Backstroke (1:53.21) and 49^th in the 50 Freestyle (49.92).

Olivia Schuffert placed 5^th in the 200 Medley Relay with teammates Crystal, Beatriz, and Tris. She posted best times in the 50 Freestyle (50^th, 52.35), and 100 Freestyle (33^rd, 2:02.43).

Ulric Leonard raced his way to three individual best times to start the 2025 season. Ulric placed 8^th in the 100 Backstroke (1:31.00), 5^th in the 50 Breaststroke (47.05), and 7^th in the 100 IM, dropping over 13 seconds to place 7^th with a time of 1:28.11.

Grayson Mercier placed 5^th in the 200 Medley Relay, swimming the lead off leg, with teammates RoRo, Daniel and Luke. In his individual events, Grayson placed 14^th in the 50 Butterfly (55.93), 16^th in the 50 Backstroke (50.73), and 17^th in the 100 IM (1:37.99).

11-12 Results:

Lena Benner posted four best times at York. She raced to 17^th in the 50 Freestyle (33.96), 15^th in the 50 Breaststroke (46.04), 14^th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:45.34), and 11^th in the 50 Backstroke (38.86). Benner also swam the lead leg in the 200 Freestyle Relay with teammates Claire Roy, Elena Fernandez-Murillo, and Kayleen Oziemblowsky, placing 4^th.

Elena Fernandez-Murillo placed 4^th in the 200 Freestyle Relay with teammates Claire, Lena, and Kayleen. In the 200 Medley the team of Elena, Claire, Kayleen, and Anissa placed 3^rd (2:26.99).  In her individual events, Elena raced to best times in the 50 Freestyle (35.19), 100 IM (1:29;91), and 50 Backstroke (43.13).

Kayleen Oziemblowsky raced her way to nine top ten finishes at York. Kayleen anchored the 200 Freestyle Relay in 28.93, touching for 4^th place with teammates Lena, Claire and Elena. She also raced with teammates Claire, Elena, and Anissa for third in the 200 Medley relay. In her individual events, Kayleen placed 5^th in the 50 Freestyle (29.33; best time), 4^th in the 100 Butterfly (1:22.68),6^th in the 100 IM (1:16.94), 3^rd in the 50 Butterfly (31.70, best time), 2^nd in the 50 Backstroke (32.60, best time), and 4^th in the 100 Freestyle (1:06.61, best time).

Claire Roy swam to a strong start at York. Claire placed 4^th in the 200 Freestyle Relay and 3^rd in the 200 Medley relay with teammates Elena, Kayleen, Lena, and Anissa. Claire swam personal bests in her four individual events. She raced to 4^th place in the 50 Breaststroke (38.63), 17^th in the 100 IM (1:27.81), 6^th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:28.88), and 13^th in the 50 Backstroke (39.91).

Anissa Showalter raced hard with teammates Claire, Kayleen, and Elena to 3^rd in the 200 Medley Relay. Anissa also swam personal bests in her individual events. She raced to 10^th place in the 200 Freestyle (2:54.56), 13^th in the 50 Butterfly (39.20), and 14^th in the 100 Freestyle (1:19.13).

Kai Suzuki had a strong start to the 2025 season. Kai raced his way to personal bests in four events. He placed 9^th in the 200 Breaststroke (3:40.12), 19^th in the 100 Backstroke (1:35.38), 19^th in the 50 Freestyle (34.89), and 11^th in the 50 Breaststroke (43.63).

13 and up results:

Lily Behler raced her way to four personal bests to start the 2025 season. Lily placed 4^th in the 200 Backstroke (2:20.34), 4^th in the 100 Freestyle (57.89), 3^rd in the 200 Freestyle (2:06.64), and 4^th in the 50 Freestyle (26.15). She also placed 3^rd in the 100 back (1:04.61). Lily swam the backstroke leg, racing  to 3^rd place in the 200 Medley Relay with teammates Cassidy, Emme P. and Emme L and the anchor leg of the 200 Freestyle Relay placing 2^nd with the same team of Cassidy, Emme L. and Emme P.

Shelby Bowersox swam to personal best times in 5 of 6 events at York. She swam the anchor legs of the 200 Medley Relay (26.75) and 200 Freestyle Relay (26.27) with teammates Ellie, Sophia and Lucia and Sophia, Adele and Lucia, respectively. Shelby raced to 4^th in the 100 Freestyle (1:00.92), broke 6 minutes in the 500 Freestyle (4^th, 5:54.38), 2^nd in the 200 Freestyle (2:13.47), and placed 7^th in the 50 Freestyle (28.12).

Cassidy Donaghy swam the breaststroke leg of the 200 Medley Relay, placing 3^rd with teammates Lily, Emme L, and Emme P. She also swam the 200 Freestyle Relay, placing second with the same team. Cassidy placed 3^rd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:14.48), 9^th in the 100 free (personal best, 1:01.20), 4^th in the 200 Breaststroke (2:43.97), and 13^th in the 50 Freestyle (28.42).

Lucia Fernandez-Murillo raced to a strong start of the 2025 season. Lucia placed 7^th as part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team with Adele, Sophia, and Shelby (1:54.52). She also placed 7^th in the 200 Medley Relay with teammates Ellie, Sophia, and Shelby (2:14.46).Lucia posted two individual best times in the 200 Freestyle (2:29.84) and 50 Freestyle (30.59). She also raced the 200 Backstroke (2:38.85) and  200 IM (2:38.81).

Adele Hunter placed 3^rd in the 200 Backstroke with a personal best of 2:30.02. She also swam the 100 Freestyle (1:04.96) and 200 IM (2:39.35). With teammates Sophia, Lucia, and Shelby, Adele placed 7^th in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Emme Lago had a fantastic meet at York. She placed 2^nd in the 200 Freestyle Relay with Lily, Cassidy and Emme P. She also placed 3^rd in the Medley Relay with the same teammates. Individually, she raced to three personal bests: 2:25.42 (2^nd) in the 200 Backstroke, 27.66 in the 50 Freestyle (4^th), and 1.07.71 (2^nd) in the 100 Backstroke. Emme won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 1.00.01, 0.06 over her best time.

Emme Podgurski dropped time in 7 of 8 events at York, starting the 2025 season strong.  She placed 2^nd in the 200 Freestyle Relay with Lily, Cassidy and Emme L. She also placed 3^rd in the Medley Relay with the same teammates. Emme raced to five personal bests in individual events: 3^rd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:20.46), 3^rd in the 100 Freestyle (1:00.70), 3^rd in the 500 Freestyle (5:46.05), 4^th in the 100 Butterfly (1:08.48), and 14^th in the 50 Freestyle (28.65). Emme also placed 3^rd in the 400 IM (5:13.87).

Ellie Roy raced to new best times in all of her events at York. She placed 7^th in the 200 Medley Relay with teammates Lucia, Sophia, and Shelby (2:14.46). Ellie swam personal bests in all four of her individual events (all with phenomenal time drops): 15^th in the 100 Breast (1:29.49), 15^th in the 100 Freestyle (1:11.31), 23^rd in the 50 Freestyle (31.66), and 14^th in the 100 Backstroke (1:20.43).

Sophia Werle had a strong start to the 2025 season. She placed 7^th in the 200 Medley Relay with teammates Lucia, Ellie, and Shelby (2:14.46). She also placed 7^th in the 200 Freestyle Relay with teammates Lucia, Adele, and Shelby. Individually, Sophia raced to four personal bests: 8^th in the 100 Freestyle (1:03.50), 2^nd in the 200 IM (2:32.61), 3^rd in the 200 Freestyle (2:14.46) and 4^th in the 200 Breaststroke (2:59.01). She also placed 4^th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:21.06) and 4^th in the 400 IM (5:28.84).

Mariano Fernandez-Murillo swam personal bests in 3 of four events at York. He placed 3^rd in the 50 Freestyle (28.41), 4^th in the 500 Freestyle (5:49.81), and 2^nd in the 200 IM (2:30.91). He also placed 4^th in the 400 IM with a time of 5:18.99.

Odin Leonard dropped time in all four of his events at York. He raced to 4^th place as part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team with Liam, Eli, and Lucas (1:37.19). He also swam personal bests individually: 2^nd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:08.85), first in the 200 IM (2:15.47), and 5^th in the 500 Freestyle (5:22.86).

Eli Mercier raced to 4^th place as part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team with Liam, Odin, and Lucas (1:37.19). He also swam a personal best in the 100 Backstroke (1:00.46). Eli raced to 4^th place in the 100 Breaststroke (1:04.71), 3^rd in the 200 Breaststroke (2:22.55), and 14^th in the 50 Freestyle (24.60).

Lucas Mercier dropped time in all of his events at York. He raced to 4^th place as part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team with Liam, Odin, and Eli (1:37.19). Lucas placed 3^rd in the 100 Breast (1:09.94), 1^st in the 200 Butterfly (2:11.60), 1^st in the 100 Freestyle (51.20), 1^st in the 500 Freestyle (5:12.24), 1st in the 200 Freestyle (1:52.13), 1st in the 100 Butterfly (59.25), 1st in the 50 Freestyle (23.46)and 3^rd in the 100 Backstroke (1:01.50).

Liam Reimherr swam well at York, dropping time in two events to start the 2025 season. . He raced to 4^th place as part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team with Lucas, Odin, and Eli (1:37.19). He swam a personal best in the 100 Freestyle placing 10^th in 58.13. Liam also placed 9^th in the 200 Backstroke (2:26.83, personal best), 12^th in the 200 IM (2:29.99, personal best), and 7^th in the 500 Freestyle (5:39.00, personal best)
