Kick Boards:  A buoyant board that is used to support the arms of a swimmer, used chiefly in practicing kicking movements.  Kick Boards come in youth and adult sizes.

Enfinity has its own custom designed kick boards! We sell these for $25 per board.  Please contact Kiefer McCulley ([email protected]), to reserve yours for pick up at the all team practice on 8/27 (Bolton Park).

Fins:  Black Group subscribes to the Arena Powerfin Pro.  The older swimmer's utilize this fin as you are able to generate more power force with its weight.  Because of its weight we do not recommend this for our younger swimmers (Blue Group / Aqua Farm).  For our younger swimmers we recommend Speedo Trialon.

Where to Buy:

  • Powerfin Pro - Check with your coach as enfinity has these in stock at almost 50% off!

  • Speedo Trialon - Check out the world wide web.  We found a good link here.

Paddles:  Swim paddles are hand paddles swimmers attach or hold onto while swim training to help improve their strength and skill.  Black Group adheres to the Strokemaker paddles as they are flat, simple and cheap!  Some coaches may ask you to get different sizes of Strokemaker paddles.  Smaller paddles for distance and bigger paddles for sprinting.  It's all coach dependent, so simply ask your site coach and they'll let you know.

*Muy Importante*  Buy paddles that are the proper size for you - we don't want too much pressure on your shoulders!  Here is a great link to understand what paddle size is best for your swimmer.

Greensboro Site:  Coach Katherine has asked that her Royal group buy Finis Agility Paddles.  Best to get these from Jeff Bezos here.

Drag Sox:  Black group swimmers will occasionally apply drag sox to their feet when performing resistance training.  Outside of Winston-Salem Blue Royal, Blue Group swimmers will not be using drag socks this year.

 Where to Buy:

  • You can buy from Swimmers Best (above).  Enfinity also has plenty of these in stock - ask your coach.

Snorkel:  One of the most important pieces of equipment (especially for youth) that a swimmer can own!  Learning balance, rotation and hand placement all come with the use of a proper snorkel.  Enfinity prefers the Ylon-a snorkel as it is smaller and demands less from your lungs when exhaling.  Outside of Aqua Farm, we recommend all ages and abilities on our team.

Where to Buy:

Land Cordz:  Ask any of Coach Neisser's swimmers and you will know that we use cords a great deal!   You can buy Cordz directly from SwimAndTri.  Ask your coach which color of Cordz is appropriate for you.  As your swimmer progresses, they will graduate to new colors.

In terms of difficulty Cordz go: Silver, Yellow, Green, Red and *Blue.

*Blue... Don't buy blue cordz.  The only person on earth who uses blue cordz is Coach Neisser:)
