NEW USA Swimming Membership Registration Process (SWIMS 3.0)
ALL KSC members and particiapants will be receiving the following email within the next few weeks. Please note a USA Swim Membership is mandatory to swim with any program within KSC.
Dear Kachemak Swim Club Member,
You're receiving this email from Kachemak Swim Club team to invite you to register for a USA Swimming Membership.
In addition to being a member of Kachemak Swim Club, members must also register with USA Swimming annually.
All participants with the Kachemak Swim Club, including the competitive swim team and the Novice Program will now register and pay for their USA Swim membership through USA Swimming online. This is a separate and mandatory annual registration that provides Liability and Secondary Accident Medical Insurance for swimmers and coaches during practice and allows them to take part in USA Swimming sanctioned swim meets as well as providing other benefits.
A few helpful links are listed below as we navigate through this new process.
FIRST, remember every parent or guardian will need to “create a new login” in SWIMS whether they were previously a member of KSC and/or USA Swimming or if their child is a new member. Please use the same email that your TeamUnify account already has listed.
SECOND, you will add your swimmer(s) accounts after creating the parent account. Every member will receive a new ID#. You can find your swimmer(s) new ID# by logging into your account information on our TeamUnify website. Click on “members”, next select an individual swimmer, then click on the red USAS Membership tab, and highlight and copy the new ID#.
FINALLY, click on the red USA Swimming Registration button to register with Kachemak Swim Club.
To clarify, each parent or guardian will first create a parent/guardian account and then create an account for each of their swimmers.

After creating your new USA Swimming account and linking it to your old one, add each of your swimmers, then click on the registration link at the bottom of this page.
Choose one of the following memberships that we offer:
- Swim Team Members: USA Swim Premium Athlete Membership ($88)
- Novice Program Members: USA Swim Flex Membership ($30)
These USA Swim Memberships include Liability and Secondary Accident Medical Insurance and Splash magazine (one per household, with the Premium Athlete Membership) six times a year. Your swimmer will be covered for a calendar year, January through December 31.
Please note possible pitfalls:
- First time in, EVERYONE selects “Create a Login” (even if, prior to SWIMS 3.0, you had a login).
- Parents/guardians need to enter their own ID#, not their child’s ID#, when creating their account.
- Parents/guardians should indicate “no” to having been a previous member if they (the parent/guardian) have never had a USA Swimming membership number.
If you are a new family, please follow the instructions below. After creating your new USA Swimming account, add each of your swimmers (see instructions above), then click on the registration link at the bottom of this page and select the membership level as indicated above.

Also note, as of Thursday, September 22, 2022, the USA Swimming Deck Pass and Deck Pass Plus app will no longer be supported. USA Swimming app will be the only mobile application available.
The USA Swimming app is available to download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The USA Swimming app and USA Swimming website will not support Deck Pass login credentials. Your app won’t work until you create your new login.
