Kachemak Swim Club (KSC) – Individual Swimmer Travel Fund Application

To be eligible for reimbursement from the KSC Individual Swimmer Travel Fund , swimmers must meet the following requirements:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The swimmer must be an active Kachemak Swim Club member and a USA Swimming registered premium athlete member.
  • The swimmer must participate in the Swim-a-Thon fundraiser for the current season.

Reimbursement Request Process:

  1. Complete the KSC Individual Swimmer Travel Fund Request Form.

    • This form must include the signature of a parent or guardian.

  2. Attach appropriate itemized receipts for eligible travel-related expenses. These may include:

    • Airfare

    • Lodging

    • Ground transportation

    • Rental cars and fuel

  3. Submit the completed form and receipts to the KSC Treasurer within 30 business days after the meet.

    • If the meet occurs before the Swim-a-Thon, you may still submit your request, but reimbursement will only be issued after Swim-a-Thon participation is verified.

Important Notes:

  • Reimbursement amounts are based on the total funds raised during the Swim-a-Thon and are subject to availability.

  • Any funds not used within the current fiscal year will be forfeited and transferred to KSC’s general fund.

  • Late submissions may not be considered.

Alaska Swimming (AKSI) – In-State Travel Reimbursement Application
 
 

Purpose:


Alaska Swimming (AKSI) offers travel reimbursement to help offset the costs for athletes traveling from outside the host area to attend the following meets:

  • Alaska Swimming State Championship (formerly the Junior Olympic Championship)

  • Alaska Age Group Championship

These travel funds come from a portion of splash fees collected from host clubs and are distributed based on need and distance traveled.

Eligibility:

  • Athletes/teams must reside outside the host area, defined as being more than two (2) hours driving distance from the meet location.

  • Reimbursement is based on actual travel costs, including:

    • Airfare

    • Ferry tickets

    • Mileage (calculated at $0.30 per mile)

  • This reimbursement is offered through AKSI. Kachemak Swim Club (KSC) does not manage or determine what is reimbursed or when payments are issued.  

  • Late submissions may not be considered.
