Just a few updates and recaps for your week:
South Central Area Championship Results
Results have been posted for the South Central Area Championship meet (April 1) and you can view them on our website under Meet Results. I want to say that I am so proud of all our swimmers and how they represented our team at the meet! Our girl’s team only fell two points shy of a first-place finish to a significantly larger Kenai team which goes to demonstrate the quality of the swimmers we had at the meet. Our boys’ team also did an exceptional job at the meet as well against some very tough competition as well. Great job to ALL our KSC swimmers!

No practice for all swim groups due to the school holiday.
Soldotna - Distance Event Time Trial
Since there is no practice on Friday, Soldotna has offered to host a distance swimming competition at the Soldotna High School pool at 3:00 PM. I would like to invite swimmers in Dream, Believe, Achieve, and Perform that don’t currently have plans for Friday afternoon to attend this competition. Registration is open HERE but will close Friday morning at 8:00 AM.

Other KSC News:
Congratulations to Evelyn Sherwood, one of our Achieve swimmers, who was voted in as the next South Central Area (SCA) Junior Representative. As the athlete representative she will be engaged in, and concerned with, the future of SCA (Kenai Peninsula Swim Teams) and Alaska Swimming in general. Evelyn will be the eyes, ears, and voice of the SCA athletes. This means advocating for every area swimmer, listening to their thoughts/opinions, and conveying them to both the AK Swimming Athlete Rep, and the Alaska Swimming House of Delegates. Thank you, Evelyn, for taking on this awesome responsibility and representing Kachemak Swim Club.
