Amazing weekend at Alaska State Swimming Championship (formerly JO's)

KSC Swimmers had an amazing weekend at the Alaska State Swimming Championship with many incredible swims and major improvements!

• Etta Bynagle dropped time in all three of her events over the weekend, placing just outside the top 8 finishers in the 100 Back.

• Izzy Clarke dropped time in all three of her events over the weekend with some very strong showings in the 50, 100 Free, and 100 Breast.

• Evelyn Sherwood had some strong showings in her freestyle events along with proceeding to finals in the 200 Breast.

• Hunter Fry had some big drops this weekend and placed second in the 1650, 1000, and 500 Free along with 5th in the 200 Fly.

• Carly Nelson had a spectacular weekend with first-place finishes in all her events: 1650, 1000, 500, and 100 Free, 400 IM, 100, and 200 Fly. In addition to this Carly set three 17-18 girls State Records in the 400 IM, 1650 FR, and 200 Fly.  Carly was also voted the Alaska State Female Swimmer of the Year.

Overall it was a great weekend for our swimmers, way to go everyone!
