How You Can Help Kachemak Swim Club
How You Can Help Kachemak Swim Club
As a non-profit organization, we are very dependent upon the support of the community, business organizations, and especially you, the parents. We are very lucky to have a talented and diverse membership, and there are many ways that people can put their individual interests and expertise to work for our program. Everyone has something to offer, many hands make light work, and we appreciate your commitment to keep our swim club running smoothly.
As a parent driven organization, we rely on volunteerism. This gives you an opportunity to take a more active role in your child’s swimming. The success of the Kachemak Swim Club (KSC) relies on parent participation. Unlike other youth sports, where generally a handful of people can run the team, a swim program simply cannot be run without help and participation from team parents. If you have more than one swimmer, we would love, and appreciate, more help if possible.
Let us know where your contribution and energy will be most helpful in maintaining a quality swim program for our kids and consider the different ways you can help out. Some jobs are simply for a day, while others take more time; all of these jobs are rewarding. You are a very important part of our team and any helping hand is greatly appreciated. We have year-long volunteer jobs that will fulfill the 20 hour required service hour commitment, along with swim meet volunteer jobs that are assigned an hour value dependent upon the intricacy of the job. All families are responsible for monitoring their earned service hours, and let the Volunteer Coordinator know if your account is not accurate.
To volunteer, go to the KSC website under 2024-2025 Meet Schedule and look for the green Job Signup on scheduled events.
Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
To all of our volunteers from last season, many of you go far and above the minimum required for your swimmers and our team. Thank you for your service! We would not be the team that we are today if not for our hard-working coaching and volunteer staff!
