Peters Township Stingrays - Summer Recreational Team
We are participating in the AMS South Developmental Swim League (ASDSL). This league consists of summer teams run by competitive swim clubs that share a common goal of introducing swimming to kids as a competitive sport. Teams in this league are:
- Peters Township Stingrays
- Bethel Park Hawks
- Mt. Lebanon Piranhas
- Canon-Mac Kraken
- Upper St. Clair Wahoos
This league is part of Allegheny Mountain Swimming, a Local Swimming Community (LSC) of USA Swimming that covers counties in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. All Stingrays swimmers are required to become Flex members of USA Swimming.
AGE: 5 through 12
DATES: June 9th through July 16th
PRACTICE: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

- July 16th - Summer League Champs @ Mt. Lebanon HS
Cost
$225 + USA Swimming Flex Membership of $33 (This is a separate, required registration)

Evaluations
- Open evaluations will be conducted on Saturdays, April 26th and May 3rd from 12pm to 2pm at Peters Township High School, Budd Baer Natatorium
- Evaluations will be first come first serve. Swimmers should come ready with their suit on and bring goggles and a towel.
- Swimmers should have water comfortability that does not require a guardian in the water for assistance. The evaluation is a minimum of one lap of freestyle unassisted without stopping on the lane rope, proper breathing is not a requirement. This requirement ensures the safety of your child in the Stingrays Program.
- Evaluations are highly recommended so we can ensure the safety of all swimmers and foster a positive Stingrays experience for your swimmer. Coaches reserve the right to evaluate at the first few practices any swimmers who did not get evaluated. If the swimmer fails the evaluation, the family will be refunded and the child will be removed from the Stingrays program.
