By Coach Anchie, We had 10 swimmers from the Elite group attend the Olympian Swimming Long Course Invitational on April 5&6. This meet was the first long course meet in the season for some of the swimmers, and our athletes did a great job. We achieved 40 personal long course best times and gained valuable racing experience in a long course setting. Our Elite group is refreshed after spring break and ready to dive into the second training cycle with renewed motivation and focus. Great job, team!
By coach Daniel, Just before a competitive break, our club co-host and participate in the Chena/Gators meet at Harry Jerome Pool in North Vancouver. During March 15 and March 16, our gold, youth, junior, senior and elite swimmers, were part of the 200 swimmers coming from 5 different clubs. Uma, Sophie, Ethan, Jaden, Freddy, Ryan and Steven representing the Gators with pride, delivered excellent performances across the 4 days competition. By Coach Karman, On Sunday, March 9, 2025, 12 swimmers from Gold and Silver attended the Hollyburn Development Meet at Hollyburn Country Club. The swimmers had a great time cheering loudly for their peers and competing after practicing hard throughout the season. This event provided a fantastic opportunity for swimmers to measure their progress at the halfway point of the season and allowed our younger athletes to gain valuable experience in a competitive setting. Hosted by Surrey Knights, at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex, Winter Divisional reunited ten swim teams from the Vancouver Fraser Division and around 350 swimmers. By Coach Daniel, There is always room to keep preparing and achieving new goals. That was the team experience this past weekend (Feb 1-Feb 2) at the LMR Champs, at Watermania. Saturday and Sunday morning sessions gave out 13&O athletes, while our 12&U swimmers owned the evenings. They all had the chance to try new events and reach new goals. Hosted by the Canadian Dolphins, the Vancouver Aquatic Centre was home to 400 swimmers from 12 teams. Three long days of competition demonstrated that speed and endurance are the only required elements to succeed.
