Weekly Update - Week of December 1st:
Welcome back from the Thanksgiving break everyone! I hope everyone was able to spend some quality time with friends and family, contemplate all that we are thankful for this holiday season, and rest up for the exciting month ahead!
It’s hard to believe, but we’re about halfway through the Short Course season! A huge thank you to all the swimmer and parents who have shared their time and energy this year. Your support makes everything possible – Bettendorf Aquatics couldn’t host meets or social activities without you! I am truly thankful to every Bettendorf Aquatics family! I appreciate you and look forward to an amazing second half of the season.
Practice adjustments (week of November 30th):
- Thursday December 11th – Boy’s Home Swim Meet
- No Practice, make up on Friday December 12th
- Saturday December 13th
- Practice, Pancakes, and PJ’s – Practice 10-11am. Pancakes & PJ’s 11-12pm
Upcoming events, meets, and deadlines:
- BLST Holiday Classic – December 19th – 21st in Cedar Falls
- Last meet of 2025
- Entry deadline: December 10th
- All Bettendorf Aquatics swimmers are encouraged to participate
- Linn-Mar Winter Whiteout
- HURRY, get your entries in earlier! First meet of 2026
- Entries accepted starting December 2, 2025
- One-day, two session meet
Returning High School Swimmers:
- Be sure you register for the Fall/Winter season! Billing will resume December 1st. If you are already registered, thank you.
USA Swimming 2026 Membership:
2026 USA Swimming Memberships will be renewed this month. If you registered with USA Swimming after September 1, 2025, your Membership is valid until December 31, 2026. You will see the registration charge ($88) in December billing. Please let me know if you do not want your membership renewed.
Winter Holiday Practice Adjustments:
The following groups will not have practice on December 24, 25, 26, 31, and January 1: Discovery, Bronze, Silver. On all other days, these will have a practice, times are TBD. From December 21 to January 3 - Senior swimmers will have morning and afternoon practices, Gold swimmers will have afternoon practice. There will be no practice December 25th and January 1st. A practice schedule is being finalized and will be emailed and posted on the Team website. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
Safe Sport Webinars & Presentations:
Upcoming training opportunities for parents and athletes. Bettendorf Aquatics is a Safe Sport Recognized swim club. Swimmer’s safety is our #1 priority.
