Festivals Day One

Toronto - An amazing first day for BYST! Four medals were won. The boys relay, comprising of Ryan Jarvis, Rafik Jiwa, Alexander Grant and Isaac Jarvis, took the gold on the 4 x 50m freestyle relay with a time of 1:58.11. They earned the silver in the 4 x 50m medley relay with a time of 2:16.07.

Melissa Dingle received a bronze medal for her 100m back by posting a time of 1:13.71. Rafik Jiwa grabbed the bronze in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:52.68. Dingle also raced the 100m butterfly and came in 6th with a best time of 1:13.50. Jiwa also swam the 100m butterfly coming in 7th with a time of 1:13.55 and the 400m IM placing 6th with a time of 5:38.80.

Katelyn Cairns placed 4th in the 100m butterfly with a time of 1:12.83 followed two minutes later with a 9th in the 800m freestyle with a time of 10:22.74 and 5th in the 400m IM dropping 8 seconds to finish at 5:32.61. Alexander Grant came in 4th in the 100m butterfly with a time of 1:12.25, 8th in the 400 IM clocking in at 5:45:48 and 8th in the 100m backstroke finishing at 1:13.50. Isaac Jarvis placed 6th in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:11.44.
