In honour of Maddy Kort, a beloved member of the Belleville Beast Swim Team whose vibrant spirit and infectious laughter touched everyone around her, her parents, Pieter and Jamie, have established the MDK Fund. This fund is dedicated to ensuring that no child misses the joy of swimming due to financial barriers.
Tragically, Maddy (13) and her younger sister Joni (10) lost their lives in an automobile accident while returning from a family vacation in March 2022. Maddy’s six years on the team were filled with passion, energy, and countless smiles, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire her teammates and coaches. The proceeds from the Maddy Kort meet will be donated to the MDK Dolphin Fund annually, and personal contributions are also welcome via e-transfer to [email protected] (please include “Maddy Kort Dolphin Fund” in the message line).
