The Cambridge Aquajets is a non-profit, competitive swim club, offering training and practice groups for swimmers of all abilities and levels.  It is our goal to offer age-specific training for all athletes, geared towards challenging each individual and developing swimmers to the best of their abilities.

Our Mini Jets program is a non-competitive program, teaching the fundamentals of swimming.  Unlike swim lessons (such as Red Cross), the focus of this program is to teach stroke development, diving and endurance.  Children should be a minimum of 5 years old, be able to comfortably swim unassisted (no life jackets or puddle jumpers) for half a length of the pool and back (any stroke), and float.  Swimmers are encouraged to practice good attendance and pay attention to coaches to develop their skills.  Mini jet swimmers will be exposed to 'racing' in a very low-pressure, fun atmosphere.

Entry into our competitive program begins at the Novice level.  Swimmers at this level will begin to participate in swim meets with other swim clubs and continue to work on skill development.  Our Novice program consists of Novice (1,2,3) levels and swimmers will practice 1-3 days/week, depending on their level.  Once a swimmer enters the competitive program, families are subject to participating in our Family Commitment (Volunteer) program.

All new swimmers must complete an assessment with one of our coaches prior to registering, to determine which level fits their skill and age.  Parents can arrange for an assessment by emailing our coaching staff at cajcoachcontact@gmail.com

Once an assessment has been completed, the registration process can begin.  The swim season runs from September to June, with registration typically opening in August.  Swimmers who wish to join the club after the season has begun will be subject to space availability at their level and fees will be pro-rated to the start date.  For more information on registration, please contact the Club Registrar at [email protected]
