All About the Cambridge Aquajets

The Cambridge Aquajets Swim Club helps young athletes grow as people and teammates through competitive swimming. We provide a safe, positive environment where swimmers build skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships. Our club is athlete-centred, coach-directed, and parent-supported.

Who We Are

We offer professional coaching for swimmers of all levels, from beginners to national-level athletes. Our club has around 150 swimmers, ages 6–18, grouped as follows:

  • Mini-Jets (MJ)
  • Novice (NV)
  • Intermediate (IMD)
  • Advanced (ADV)

In Mini-Jets and Novice, the focus is on stroke development, foundational skills, and friendly competition. As swimmers progress, they take on more training and competitive opportunities.

For an overview of our programs, please follow this link.

What Skills Are Needed to Join?

  • Mini-Jets: Swimmers must be able to swim half a length (12.5m) unassisted without stopping or touching the bottom.
  • Novice: Swimmers must be able to swim one full length (25m) unassisted.

We’ll set up your swimmer’s assessment and help you get started. We look forward to meeting you!

How Will My Child Be Placed in a Group?

Every new swimmer completes a 5–10 minute in-water assessment with a coach. Swimmers should bring a swimsuit and goggles.

After the assessment:

  • Coaches will recommend the most appropriate group
  • The Head Coach will follow up via email with placement details
