CAJ Surges Ahead to Finish Short Course Season in Style

MARCH 20, 2025 - With short course season coming to a close and long course season fast approaching, we'd like to acknowledge the remarkable effort and stellar achievements by our Aquajets across Ontario in the past few months. Our Aquajets have swam a tough schedule to kick off 2025, with some competing every weekend in multi-day swim meets AS WELL as participating in high school swimming leading their school's to championships. Keep chasing the wall Aquajets! Follow the highlights for our latest swim meets below: 

Winter Skills & Thrills, Guelph 

  • 96 races from 32 novice aquajets 

  • Lots of new races including 100 Free & 50 Fly 

  • New personal bests, everyone improving at least one time 

  • Claire Fitzpatrick, Age Group Qualifier 100 Breastroke

  • Top 20 finishers: Aria D, Suhaavi A, Sathhwick K, Link M, Maya D, Isla K, Elsie M

Western Regionals, London 

  • 21 swimmers competing from Advanced and Novice 3, some in their first regionals meet ever!

  • Many Aquajets qualifying for finals, improving on their best times and prelims swims

  • Jack Gray breaking 1:00 for 100 Free SCM

  • Incredible relay races featuring the superstar teams in the 200 Free, 200 Medley and 200 mixed free and medley to place in the top 10

  • MPAC swimmers included Liam B (100 Fl, 100 & 200 Bk), Claire F (100 & 200 Br), Jack G (100 & 200 Bk, 100 & 200 Br, 200 & 400 IM), Ainsley M (50 & 100 Fr, 100 Bk, 100 Br, 200 & 400 IM), Addy N (100 & 200 Bk), Andrew R (200 Bk, 200 Fl, 400 IM)

  • TPSAC swimmers included Mikayla H (100 & 200 Br), Sean M (50 Fr, 100 Fl, 400 IM), Hailey M (50 Fr, 100 & 200 Bk, 200 & 400 IM)

  • Great swims from everyone, including some great PBs

 

GHAC Winter Invitational, Hamilton

  • Small but mighty showing, definitely the loudest cheering team in the bunch! 

  • Mornings were filled with fast racing by the 13 & O crew, lots of PBs, new races completed and team spirit (shoutout to Addy for bringing their games to keep everyone entertained)! 

  • The afternoon squad of 4 spent all their time cheering on their teammates pushing them to get to that wall first

  • All Aquajets placed in the 10 of each one of their races including: Emiliano CG, Norah C, Grace D, Clara G, Ariel H, Adrianna H, Hannah J, Addy S, Chiara S, Tianshu V, Ben W

  • Lots of PBs for everyone; great work
