Junior Barracudas
The Junior Barracudas Program offers children ages 7-12 an introduction to competitive swimming.
The program provides both instruction and technical work in the four competitive swimming strokes - backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle.
To become a Junior Barracuda, swimmers must:
- have completed Lifesaving Society Level 4
- be between the ages of 7 & 12
- be able to swim 50 meters of front crawl
There are three sessions offered throughout the swim season. Swimmers can register for one, two, or all three sessions.
- Session 1: October – December 2025
- Session 2: January – March 2026
- Session 3: March – May 2026
Junior Practice Schedule
Junior Barracudas will have two 45-minute practices per week.
- Monday 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm at the Boys and Girls Club
- Sunday 10:15 am - 11:00 am at the Queens ARC
Barracuda and Junior Barracuda coaches run the practices.
A fun meet is held for all junior swimmers at the end of each session.
