2025-2026 Sessions

Registration occurs at the beginning of the swim season (September) and at the end of each session for the following session. Practices take place at the Boys and Girls Club South East, 1300 Bath Road, Kingston and Queens ARC at 284 Earl Street, Kingston. 

There are three sessions over the course of the swim season. Swimmers can register for one, two, or all three sessions.

  • Session 1: October  – December  2025
  • Session 2: January  – March  2026
  • Session 3: March – May  2026

Practice Schedule

Junior Barracudas will have two 45 minutes practices per week.

  • Mondays 5:30pm-6:15pm @ Boys and Girls Club; and
  • Sundays 10:15am-11:00am @ Queens ARC. 

Barracuda and Junior Barracuda coaches will run and coach the practices.

A fun swim meet is held at the end of each session.

Requirements

To join the Junior Barracudas swimmers:

  • must have completed Lifesaving Society Level 4 
  • be between the ages of 7 & 12
  • be able to swim 50 meters of front crawl

Cost

  • $283.33 per session*

*Plus a $60.50 (plus HST) Swim Ontario registration fee (once per swim season, Sept-June).

Note

Swimmers who demonstrate an appropriate skill level and fitness at the tryouts may be selected to join the Gold competitive program. If this is the case we will contact you and provide more information on this program to help you decide which program best suits your child.

Participants in the Junior Barracuda Swim Program are not able to purchase or wear the Ernestown Barracuda Swim Team apparel until they graduate to the Gold level. 

Juniors are provided with a special cap for their program.
