2023-2024 Tryouts
The tryouts for the Junior Barracudas will be held Thursday, Sept 14th, 2023 from 5-6 p.m. at the Kingston YMCA. If you were a Junior Barracuda last year and want to try out for Gold, this will take place on Thursday, Sept 14th, 2023 from 4-5 p.m. at the Kingston YMCA

2023-2024 Sessions
Registration occurs at the beginning of the swim season (September) and at the end of each session. Practices take place at the Boys and Girls Club South East, 1300 Bath Road, Kingston and Queens ARC @ 284 Earl Street.
There are three sessions over the course of the swim season. Swimmers can register for one, two, or all three sessions.
- Session 1: October 15th - December 17th, 2023
- Session 2: January 7th – March 10, 2024
- Session 3: March18th – May 26th, 2024
Practices
Junior Barracudas will have two 45 minutes practices per week on Mondays 5:30pm-6:15pm @ Boys and Girls Club and Sundays 10:30am-11:15am @ Queens Arc.
Barracuda and Junior Barracuda coaches run the practices.
A fun swim meet is held at the end of each session.
Requirements
To join the Junior Barracudas swimmers:
- must have completed Lifesaving Society Level 4
- be between the ages of 7 & 12
- be able to swim 50 meters of front crawl
Cost
- $275 per session*
*Plus a $54.05 Swim Ontario registration fee.
Note
Participants in the Junior Barracuda Swim Program are not permitted to purchase or wear the Ernestown Barracuda Swim Team apparel until they graduate to the GOLD level.
Swim bags and other team-specific accessories and apparel are for Barracuda team members only. Juniors are provided with a special cap for their program.
