With 14 swims tonight, prelims went pretty good. We should be getting better as the meet goes on. The finals started with the 200 fr relay and our assemblage of breastrokers and a backstroker valiantly sprinted to 9th. Then it was 100 backstroke and Vic Montgomery claimed 6th just off the time from prelims. 200 Breast next and Jasmine smashed her heat to win her second gold in 2:57.19. Sunny warm day in Edmonton. Victoria swims to 3rd for the final 100 back. Breaststrokers back at it with Jaz qualifying 2nd and Sara 5th Paige 8th. Matt through to finals as well. Matt also won two bellringer heats to claim coveted Keyano teddy bears. 100 Free saw Sara qualify 6th. Sara 1500 Fr 18:47.86 new club record.

Breastrokers led the charge tonight and Jasmine Whelan blasted the race wide open to demolish her previous best on the way to claiming gold and a prestigious Keyano bear. Sara W finished 4th in bt and Paige C 6th also bt. Matt Hua silver. Victoria Montgomery 8th 400 Free. Girls 400 fr R finished 9th.
Jasmine Whelan and Victoria Montgomery swam tough 200 frees with both girls putting down hard final 50's. They finished 7th and 9th repectively with BT long course. Sara Whelan followed up with a 6th place race in a BT long course. Matt Hua 5th in the b final with a BT longcourse. 200 Back was next for us and Victoria came 9th. Sara W back up in 50 Fr 29.22 6th place. 800 Fr Relay was 9th.
