University of Lethbridge
The LA Swim Club and the UofL Pronghorns train exclusively on the University of Lethbridge Campus. The UofL campus provides a fabulous atmosphere and training environment.
Max Bell Regional Aquatic Center
Max Bell was opened officially in the 1980’s by the Alex Baumann, the 1984 double gold medalist, and is one of the fastest swimming pools in Canada. Max Bell is a 8 lane 50m Olympic Sized swimming pool boasting the omega blocks, 5m and 3m diving towers, and diving boards. Max Bell has hosted the Canada West Swimming Championships, Alberta Summer Games, Youth and Junior National Swimming Championships and many other meets.
U of L Fitness Center
The new Regional Center opened in 2006 and includes gyms, weight room, cardio stations, indoor track, accent climbing wall, indoor track, and change room facilities.
Directions
The Max Bell Regional Aquatic Center is located on the University of Lethbridge campus, 4401 University Drive.
Directions:
- At the intersection of Columbia Blvd. and University Drive turn LEFT onto Valley Road.
- Take the first right hand turn into the West Parking Lot.
- Park in the FAR WEST LOT. Free parking after 2:00 pm on Swim Meet Fridays, and Free parking anywhere on Saturday and Sunday.
- Enter the through the First Choice Health & Wellness Center Entrance. Come downstairs and enter the change rooms by accessing past the Customer Service Desk.
