Provincial Group Lead Coach
I have been involved in competitive swimming since I was six years old, and have been coaching since I was eighteen years old. I grew up in Lethbridge, competing every summer with the Lethbridge Orcas Summer Swim Club. After high school, I graduated from the U of L with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, swimming for the Pronghorns for all five years, and captaining the team during my last three years. I started coaching with LASC as a substitute coach in 2015, and started coaching more regularly in 2019 with both LASC and the Lethbridge Orcas. I love coaching because I get to share my love for swimming with a new generation of young athletes. My love for the sport has led me to continue to train with the Pronghorns and compete for LASC, with the goal of competing at World Championship Trials in April 2022. In my spare time I love to do other sports like volleyball, surfing, skateboarding, golfing, and skiing, and I really like traveling, listening to music, and watching movies as well!

Anna Charles
Provincial Group Assistant Coach
I am in my final year of Environmental Science at the University of Lethbridge with the goal of one day specializing in marine ecology. I have been coaching for ten years with a variety of teams from Calgary to Vancouver Island, where I am currently the Regional Head Coach for Summer Swimming. As a swimmer myself, I've had the amazing opportunity to attend Canadian Nationals and compete all over Canada and Germany for the Cascade Swim Club, the Duncan Stingrays, and most recently the University of Lethbridge. Although I no longer race competitively, I have an immense passion for working with young swimmers to achieve their goals and ensuring that I create a positive, fun environment for all. I am a NCCP certified level 1 coach, am in training for my level 2, and have taken both Community Sport Coaching and I Can Swim certifications.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, doing activities such as surfing, hiking, and skiing.
