Hello LASC Families,

Welcome to our first meet week of the year as we are getting ready for hosting our first competition of the season, Friesen Plastic’s Fall Challenge. Just a few items of note for the upcoming week(s).

Schedule

There will be NO Practice on Monday, October, 27th, following the swim meet for any competitive groups, OW, Prov, Jr. Nat, Nat, and Academy. There will still be regular practice for Jr. Horns. 

Friday Night Races

Thank you to everyone who came down to our first Friday Night Races and a special thank you to all of the parents and family members who volunteered with the timing. We had a terrific showing and we’re already in anticipation of our next edition, November 21st. You can find results from this past FNR on our Team Page under ‘News’ or follow the link here.

Friesen Plastics Inc LASC Fall Challenge - October 24-26th

Our at home Fall Challenge Meet returns this season as we host teams from around Southern Alberta to kick off racing for our 2025-26 season. The three day, four session event begins with a Friday evening session followed up by two sessions on Saturday and a final morning session on Sunday. You can find swimmers entries on our website and online at meet mobile.

Cascade Speed Meet - Calgary - November 8-9th

Thank you to all swimmers who registered for the meet. We hope to have a strong showing at our first travel meet in Calgary at the Seton YMCA.

AMAC Fall Invitational - Medicine Hat - November 14-16th

Our first meet of the season in Medicine Hat comes as we get ready for their annual Fall Invitational meet. We encourage members on Olympic Way, Provincial, Jr. National, and Nationals not attending Speed Meet to sign-up for this meet. Registration for the meet will close this Wednesday, October 22nd.

Cash Raffle

Today is the last day to bring in ticket stubs on sold tickets for the raffle.

Draw will be held on October 26, 2025, during the LASC Fall Challenge Swim Meet (winners contacted if not present).
