We implement long-term development strategies to ensure sustained growth and success for our athletes.
Parents Role:
Parents play several important roles in supporting a competitive swimmer.
- Encourager: Provide emotional support and encouragement, celebrating achievements and helping the swimmer stay motivated through challenges.
- Nutritionist: Help with meal planning and ensuring the swimmer has access to healthy food that supports their training and recovery needs.
- Scheduler: Assist with managing and keeping track of practice schedules, meet dates, and other important events. All found under "Programs" on the website.
- Listener: Be available to listen and provide guidance when the swimmer needs to talk about their experiences, goals, or concerns.
- Cheerleader: Cheering for the swimmer and supporting them from the stands.
- Advocate: Communicate with coaches when necessary, advocating for the swimmer’s needs and ensuring they have the support they require.
- Role Model: Demonstrate a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, and a healthy approach to competition, setting an example for the swimmer.
- Health Monitor: Keep an eye on the swimmer’s physical and emotional well-being, helping to manage injuries or stress and ensuring they get appropriate rest and recovery.
By fulfilling these roles, parents can greatly enhance their swimmer’s experience and success in the sport.
