LTAD: Learn to Train progressing towards Train to Train
Goal for this group:
The Orange program is designed for young swimmers beginning their journey in competitive swimming. Our objective is to nurture a lasting passion for the sport by fostering a supportive and encouraging team environment that promotes aerobic development and technical growth.
Training emphasizes foundational skills across all four competitive strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly—as well as dives, turns, and underwater techniques. Instruction is delivered in a fun and engaging format that blends enjoyment with the development of essential life skills such as commitment, discipline, and dedication.
Competition at this level is introduced in a low-pressure, positive manner, focusing on the enjoyment of racing and the early demonstration of proper technical execution. Athletes are encouraged to participate with enthusiasm and confidence, building familiarity with meet environments and race routines.
Workouts are structured to improve training habits, reinforce technical fundamentals, and gradually build aerobic capacity. Swimmers begin to understand the importance of consistent effort, teamwork, and personal growth.
The Orange program serves as the entry point into our competitive pathway. By cultivating a love for swimming and reinforcing strong technical foundations, we prepare athletes for progression into the Bronze group and continued development within the sport.
