Welcome to all new and returning members of OSAC.

The Owen Sound Aquatic Club's aim and objective is to present a balanced swim program, providing physical and emotional development as well as competition and lots of fun. Fitness, Fun and Friends combine to produce Fast Swimming - athletes competing at their highest level possible, while enjoying being part of a team.   The program teaches life skills of time management, long-term goal setting, resilience, and an overall healthy lifestyle.  Swim for Life!

OSAC is committed to providing a safe and welcoming place for people of all ages (6 & above), abilities, genders, cultural, ethnic, religious backgrounds, and socio-economic status.

Contact us at (519) 371-7946 or email Head Coach, Ken Fitzpatrick ([email protected]) for more information on our Ongoing Assessments for New Member Prospects (Generally Monday nights at 5:30pm). Fall Programs are Full and underway.  A limited number of New Splash & Masters will be welcomed in January for Session 2 (January 3-March 25) - contact us NOW to access our Priority List.

THE ORGANIZATION:

OSAC is a voluntary organization with a full-time Head Coach and part-time assistant Coach positions. In addition, there are volunteer coaches and assistants who work with our swimmers. Swimmers and their parents are required to participate in the successful operation of the Club.

OSAC operates within the parameters of a constitution passed by the membership.  The positions of the Board of Directors are listed elsewhere on the website.

Board of Directors’ meetings are held monthly (excluding July and August) on a date chosen by the Board.  Members can be placed on the agenda for these meetings provided they advise the Secretary two weeks in advance of the meeting.  Written questions or concerns can also be forwarded for consideration.  However, if there are problems, first contact should be with the Coach and if the situation cannot be resolved, the Coach will direct the complainant to the President.

General meetings of the membership are held a minimum of 2 times a year.
