OSAC swimmers & families:

As November winds down, ‘Winter’ is still 3 weeks+ away (December 21st).  I think we all know this is only a date on the Calendar – Some BIG snow in the near forecast.

Unfortunately, lots of sickness going around, since our home hosted meet – inside the team, schools and general population.   No sharing water bottles, wash/sanitize your hands regularly….and do everything you can to minimize contacts and getting overly run-down. 

Highlights for this week and into the month of December – followed by the early months of the new calendar year:

  • Let’s get ready to race!  6 Gold Group swimmers are heading to the Age-Group International at Etobicoke this weekend, to check their progress against some strong competition.  Good luck to Juliette, Brennan, Graeme, Nathan, Olivier & Thomas.

 

  • All Other swimmers/groups (Waves, All Comp) See TeamReach for updates Friday/Saturday this week -  workout modifications to be updated by the end of the day today.  

 

  • Boston Pizza Fundraiser #2 – Wednesday, December 3rd – Come out and support the team (Invite your family and friends) Proceeds to support OSAC.  

 

  • Splash-o-rama #1 / Now Scheduled for Thursday, December 11th – 530-7pm.   Parent volunteers invited to support this Session Ending Finale.

 

  • Next up – Team Showdown/Team Travel (currently 23 swimmers confirmed with final details in the works) / December 12th-14th – Expect an update from Lead Chaperone/Travel Co-ordinator Gina G later this week.

 

  • 5 of our competitive Masters swimmers will head to TPASC to compete in the IM FAST Masters Challenge December 14th. G-O  L-E-F-T-O-V-E-R-S-!

 

  • December 17th – Wednesday / Holiday Team Social (details to be confirmed)

 

  • December 18th – Thursday / Water Polo Night – all Comp Groups 345-515pm (that sounds like FUN!)

 

  • Everyone else – DON’T MISS out!   Collingwood Winter Invite Devo Meet (December 20th) / for all swimmers (Tides, Waves, + Comp) not competing in Brantford.   A perfect opportunity to upgrade your progress towards Winter Regionals. Registration Deadline = Monday, December 1st – Confirm your swimmer TODAY!

 

  • Holiday Training Schedule – Refer to Team Reach for all updates through the Holiday Period (to be confirmed on the APP by November 30th)

 

  • 2026 Training fully resumes the week of January 5th (includes Splash & Masters Session 2 – be sure to confirm your Registration)

 

  • Elaine Thompson Memorial Meet (the weekend of Jan 23-25) / last chance Regional Qualifier….confirmations will be required prior to the Holiday Break.  

 

  • Huronia Winter Regionals (the weekend of Feb 6-8th (Qualifiers)  / Orangeville (Have you booked your hotel room(s)
