Surrey Invitational recap
We had 35 swimmers race last weekend at the SKSC Invitational, in many swimmers’ first long course racing opportunity of the season.
From Junior Provincial, Angelica W got her very first Divisional time in 50 breaststroke and continued to get more throughout the meet. Multiple other juniors achieved LCM Divisional standard as well! Nio had a very memorable 50 freestyle. He didn’t breath flags to the wall and had a constant kick throughout. Rhianna’s 50 fly was also raced very well! She used her hips and kept a constant breathing pattern. Keep up all the great work!
From Youth Provincial, Aimee W had a very impressive weekend at her first ever long course meet. John L had a great 50 free, while Molly Z and Matthew C both had very strong 50 breaststroke races.
On the Senior side there were a number of great best times from Darby W, Elina H, Edison L and Daniel W. Alex G and Oliver A especially had very strong weekends. Alex got up and went for it in both his 50 and 100 breaststroke races. Oliver’s 100 free and 50/100 fly were also clear standout performances.
Great job swimmers!
