KAJ Snowfest 2026 Recap
The Kokaneeβs sent 47 Swimmers to the 2026 Snowfest meet at the H2O Centre in Kelowna, hosted by the Kelowna Aquajets. Participation was up from just 30 swimmers that competed at the 2025 edition of the meet.
The competition marked the Kokaneesβ first opportunity in the 2025-26 season to race in a 50m Long Course Pool (Olympic Size).
34 Kokanees qualified for finals in at least 1 event.
3 swimmers achieved their first-ever qualification for Interior Divisionals, and 1 achieved their first Provincial time standard. 16 Kokanees medaled in individual events, and 1 club record fell.
New qualifiers for the upcoming North and Interior Divisional Championships, February 20-22 in Penticton:
Indi Tanzola, girls 12&under 50 freestyle
Lily Iverson, girls 12&under 100 fly
Joelle Martin, girls 12&under 100 Freestyle
A new qualifier emerged for the upcoming Winter Provincial Championships, March 5-8 in Victoria:
Korbin Wade, Boys 13-14 50 Freestyle
A Kokanee club record was broken in the Boys 13-14 4x50 Freestyle relay. Combining to break the record:
