Welcome to ElitSwim – Swim Lessons!

In partnership with the City of San Ramon

For the City of San Ramon’s swim lessons programs, ElitSwim is the sole provider and has been awarded the contracts for 2018–2022 and 2023–2027.

The City of San Ramon Aquatics website must be used at all times for registration, scheduling, evaluation/assessment, or any inquiries about City of San Ramon Swim Lessons.

Please speak directly with your coach on the day of your lesson or with our management on deck if you have questions about your swimmer’s progress. For questions about the programs, speak with the manager on deck. They will be happy to assist you.

City of San Ramon Swim Lessons

Participants of all ages can acquire the fundamentals of swimming in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. Lessons are offered in private or small group formats, building skills toward confident and independent swimming. Programs range from Infant ("Tot") to Adults.

Each year, lessons run from early April through early October. Registration opens one month prior to each season. Visit the City's website to register for assessment dates.

You must sign up through the City of San Ramon’s website for all assessments and lessons. 

Do not register on this ElitSwim site for lessons — doing so will forfeit your registration fee.

What’s the Difference?

ElitSwim Year-Round Programs (Pre-Competitive & Competitive) differ from City lessons by offering specialized team training with in-depth technical coaching for long-term success.

  • Pre-Competitive program is a team-based environment focusing on building the technical skills needed for competitive swimming.
  • Competitive team participates in sanctioned USA Swimming meets locally and nationally with more rigorous daily training in all 4 competitive strokes.

For both teams, the starting age is 6 years, and swimmers must be able to swim freestyle and backstroke nonstop for 25 yards (one lap). The competitive team has more requirements for each group.
