Douglas J. Kropp Award

Douglas J. Kropp was a WRST member and a 1986 co-captain of the Watertown High School Swim Team.  In December of 1988, PFC Kropp and four fellow US Army servicemen lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Honduras.   Established in 1989, this award will be forever presented in the memory of Douglas J. Kropp.  The recipient of this award is presented a trophy and his or her name permanently displayed on a plaque at the Town of Watertown Park and Recreation office. 

Nominees selected by coaching staff and must be:

    (a) Team members no less than 5 winter seasons

    (b) No younger than eleven years old

    (c) Exude the genuine meaning of sportsmanship and dedication to teamwork.
