Excel Swim Club Policies

Payments
We do not accept cash or checks. Please maintain a current credit card in the system under your account.
Classes/Workouts
Swimmers may swim in the registered class (workout) only. They are free to sign up for two or more classes (workouts) attending when possible or to all classes (workouts) within the registrations.
Waitlist
We will notify you when there is an open spot, however the offer expires after 72 hours (about 3 days) to provide the opportunity for another waitlisted swimmer. In the event a swimmer does not accept an open Waitlist spot within the timeframe of acceptance, you are free to re-register for any class (workout) at any time.
Cancellation - Classes/Workouts & Meets
Registered Classes/Workouts: We require 2 weeks’ notice of cancellation prior to the first of each month, when billing occurs, for all registered classes (workouts).
Meets: We require 7 days’ notice prior to the Meet date. Because meet hosts bill teams 10 days before the event, and Excel is responsible for those fees, any withdrawals made within 7 days of the meet will not be credited or removed from our billing.
Refund requests
The annual fee is not refundable.
Hold available for High School Swim Team
We offer a hold for the High School Swim Team during their 3-month season. This holds their spot in a class/es (workout/s) that could be waitlisted and allows them to experience competing with their school district or beyond. We do not offer holds for other activities or sports.
Credit available for Injuries
We offer up to 3 weeks’ credit for injury recovery with a doctor’s note. If the injury requires the swimmer to miss more than 3 weeks, we can cancel the class/es (workout/s) for the balance of the year or billing will resume. You may re-register when able to swim again. The swimmer will not be charged an additional annual registration fee when they re-register for classes (workouts).
Cancellations due to Weather or Facility closures
If any workout misses one or more days in a given month due to uncontrolled pool closures or extreme weather, the Excel Board will review the situation on a case-by-case basis to determine if any adjustments will be made.
Assessment (tryout) for kids 10 & under, or new to Excel
Below are the requirements for swimmers age 10 & under or new to Excel, along with information on scheduling a tryout. Please visit our website for assessment times and locations.
Tryout Requirements for 10 & under, or new to Excel:

Swim 25 yards freestyle without stopping, demonstrating the ability to side breathe.

Swim 25 yards backstroke without stopping.

Show a basic understanding of breaststroke and butterfly. These do not have to be perfect, but swimmers should recognize both strokes.

Show comfort swimming in the deep part of the pool.
Important Notes:
Coaches will make the final decision on whether a swimmer is ready to join the team, with safety as our top priority. Our goal is to ensure that each swimmer is placed in the appropriate group and has a positive experience.

Seasonal Class/Workout Sessions
Early Morning: This class/workout is billed by the entire session and not monthly. There are no credits offered for this class/workout. The two-week cancellation policy applies prior to the first date of this session.
Spring: This class/workout is billed by the entire session and not monthly. There are no credits offered for this class/workout. The two-week cancellation policy applies prior to the start date of this session.
Summer: This class/workout is billed by the entire session and not monthly. There are no credits offered for this class/workout. The two-week cancellation policy applies prior to the first date of this session.
USA Swimming:
All athletes must be in good standing with USA Swimming prior to swimming in our pools. Please create or renew your annual membership if you are not currently in compliance. USA Swimming link can be found here.
Facilities
Excel members must adhere to the rules of our Partner Pools which can be found on our website.
