Cody Lavoie

Head Coach

 

Cody first began coaching at Nashville Aquatic Club in 2017 while he was finishing his swim career at Delta State University. While at NAC, Cody assisted with coaching the youth development program including swimmers who went on to compete in the 2021 Olympics. Cody, originally born in Wheatley, Canada moved to Dallas in 2018.

 

During his swimming career, he was a fourteen-time Ontario Provincial Champion, Jr.National Champion, and International Youth Games Champion. Cody was also a Canadian Olympic Trials finalist and a USA Olympic Trial Qualfier in 2016. At Delta State University, Cody earned All-American honors, set NSISC conference and school records in multiple events.

 

After graduation from Delta State and coaching at Nashville Aquatic Club, Cody moved to Dallas to join Dallas Swim Kids as Program Director. Through his role, Cody started a developmental swim team and built the program to 80+ swimmers in just 2 years. The swim school saw an overall increase of 300+ swimmers in that time as well. Cody has experience training and coaching some of the best swimmers in the world. He is also knowledgeable and experienced in building a program from the bottom up. Cody's goal is to build Fast Fins Elite to become one of the premier clubs in DFW and provide swimmers the opportunity to recieve the best training possible.

 

Since Coach Lavoie started Fast Fins Elite in 2022, the club has seen a 200% increase in athletes. Lavoie has quickly developed a team of athletes competing at North Texas Championships and Texas State Championships. Lavoie is the youngest head coach in Texas to lead a group of swimmers to State Champs. In two years, Cody has remained true to his promise of guaranteed improvements to every swimmer.

 

 

Daniel Wiseman

Assistant Swim Team Coach / Head Special Olympics Swim Coach

 

Daniel started his coaching career at the Greenville YMCA in 2018 before moving to Dallas. Daniel is Lifeguard and USA Swim Coach certified. In his swim career, he was teammates with Coach Cody at Delta State University. Daniels specialty events were the 50,100 & 200 Freestyle. In 2020, Daniel moved from Cleveland, MS to Dallas, TX  to join the new swim team at DSK.

 

At DSK, Daniel led the developmental groups focusing on technique and special skills work. Daniel has a passion for dryland and weight training and is able to utilize those skills to teach swimmers the importance of being well-rounded athletes. He has assisted with the coaching of swimmers who went on to achieve top 25 ranked times in the state and the overall growth of the program. Daniels biggest asset is his knowledge of the sport, working with youth and encouraging them to the best they can be.
