Tsunamis Swim Academy Guidelines
Thank you for choosing Tsunamis Swim Academy! The following guidelines have been set in place to allow us to better serve you and create a smooth transition into lessons for both you and your swimmer.
ARRIVAL TIME AND ATTIRE:
- Arrive Early: Please arrive 10 minutes before class and check in with the site supervisor.
- Bathroom Break: A bathroom break before class is recommended to avoid interruptions during the lesson.
- Children should be in proper swimwear.
WHAT TO WEAR:
- Proper Swimwear:
- Girls: One-piece suits are required to keep the swimmer focused and prevent constant adjusting of their suit.
- Boys: Swim briefs, swim jammers (preferred), or bathing suits with drawstrings are ideal. Please avoid board shorts with pockets or cut-offs, as loose clothing can interfere with swimming, making it harder to float or move in the water.
- Sun Shirts, Rashguards & Long Sleeve Suits: These are not permitted during lessons because they limit the swimmer's ability to move their upper body effectively through the water.
- Swim Goggles: All students are required to wear swim goggles. They help swimmers focus and improve visibility underwater. This is also required for swim team members, so it’s beneficial for swimmers to get comfortable using them early on.
- Swim Cap: If the swimmer’s hair is chin length or longer, a swim cap is recommended to keep hair out of their eyes during the lesson. Tsunamis Swim Team caps are available at the pool.
- Towel: Be sure to bring a dry towel. It helps prevent getting chilly when exiting the water after the lesson.
See you at the pool!!
