Tsunami Equipment List

The following is a list of required equipment that all Tsunamis swimmers must have for practice.
Equipment requirements vary by training group and are outlined below.

Important Notes:

  • All equipment must be purchased through our official team store. This ensures swimmers receive the correct items and supports our sponsorship agreement.

  • ARENA is our official team sponsor. All training equipment and swim bags must be ARENA brand.

 

Tsunamis Swim Team Uniform Policy

To promote unity and team pride, all Tsunamis swimmers are expected to follow our uniform guidelines at every swim meet.

Non-Championship Meets

  • All Tsunamis swimmers — including those competing as “unattached” — must wear the official Tsunamis team suit.

  • Older swimmers (green and senior 2) who typically wear tech suits for most meets may wear a plain blue or black suit (no tie-backs).

Championship Meets

Swimmers are expected to wear an ARENA tech suit.

  • 12 & Under swimmers must wear a 12-and-under approved tech suit, per USA Swimming regulations.

Team Apparel at All Meets

Swimmers are required to wear Tsunamis team shirts at all swim meets to promote team spirit and unity. We also encourage family members to join in by wearing Tsunamis apparel to show their support.

Required Items:

  • Team Caps – $12
    Available from coaches at the pool

  • Team Shirts – $15
    Available for purchase at the Township pool — swimmer and parent shirts available

All swimmers must have both the standard white and green team shirts for meets.

Practice Guidelines:

Swimmers are expected to wear team caps and appropriate training suits during practice.

Boys:

  • Acceptable suits: Briefs or jammers

           *Board shorts, loose fitting shorts, shorts with pockets are not permitted at practice

  • Swimmers in Blue, Green, and Senior 2 groups should wear a drag suit over a brief – jammers are not permitted for these groups.

Girls:

  • Must wear tight-fitting, one-piece suits.

  • Suits should not have frills, zippers, ties, or sleeves.

Extra Items ALL swimmers will need:

Swimmers Should ALL have 2 Bags:

  • Mesh Equipment bag: This is their WET bag and should be used for equipment only and will sit next to the pool with them. On the site we offer a drawstring mesh bag.

  • Dry Bag: A bag where they keep dry clothes, towels, caps, goggle, shoes, snacks, etc. Our team bag is a swim BACKPACK to help limit strain on the swimmer’s shoulders. (This is also the bag they bring to meets)

Sneakers: A good pair of sneakers is a necessity!
Swimmers need sneakers for all dry-land workouts and must also wear them at swim meets. Proper footwear supports the feet, legs, and back—helping reduce fatigue and strain throughout the day.

Swim Cap: Caps are mandatory for all practices, except for boys with short hair. However, everyone must wear a team cap at all meets.

  • Team caps can be purchased at the pool.
    Price: $12

Team Suit: Team suits are for meets only — never for practice.

They can be ordered online through our team store.

Tech Suits: Tech suits are also for meets only, and not all meets require one. Swimmers must schedule a fitting appointment if purchasing a tech suit.

Swim Parka: Swim parkas are ideal for staying warm in cold weather at meets or after practice.
They are:

  • Waterproof on the outside

  • Lined with warm, fuzzy material on the inside

  • Designed to reach knee to mid-calf length for full-body warmth

Arena Team Apparel: We offer a variety of team apparel on our site. (Hoodies, shorts, polos, shirts, etc..)

Standard Team Shirts: Our standard white and green team shirts can be purchased at the pool. **All swimmers must have both the white and green shirts for meets.

Parent Shirts:  Our standrad "Tsunamis Fan Club" shirt is available for sale at the pool.
