TRYOUTS

Tryout Prerequisites can be one of the following: 1) Completed FISD Swim School- Stroke School. 2) Completed another swim school with proficiency in backstroke, freestyle, working knowledge in butterfly, breaststroke and can complete a successful flipturn. 3) Swim team experience (summer league, YMCA league, USAS club team or  etc.)

The 2024 tryout waitlist is HERE. We will be looking for swimmers ages 10 and under only. Tryouts will be on Saturday, February 24th from 1pm-2pm (This will be broken up into 20min intervals) We will be sending out a sign up genius a few days prior to our tryout date. The email will come from one of our Frisco ISD Natatorium staff members. Slots will be available through Sign-up Genius.....Once we reach 60 slots there will be no additonal ones added until the next tryout and the link will be closed.

General Information: Iron Horse aquatics is a member of USA Swimming and Frisco ISD program. We are a year-round competitive swim team.

Assessment: Swimmers may be recommended for FISD Swim School www.friscoisd.org/departments/natatorium/learn-to-swim or the Iron Horse Junior Program. Both work hand in hand with each other to bring you an all encompassing aquatics program to help your athlete(s) get ready for our competitive swim team.

Expectations: Swimmers must be able to swim across the 25-yard pool and demonstrate proficiency in freestyle and backstroke. Must have working knowledge of butterfly, breaststroke, flip turns and dives.

What To Bring: Swimmer(s) should have a swim suit, pair of goggles, swim cap and a towel.
