Hello Spartans! Happy September! I trust everyone is doing well and the beginning of school is off to a good start. I can tell you we are loving what we are seeing on the pool deck. Right now, we are jam packed with swimmers. Our Age Groupers at 3:00pm, Varsity & Middle School Interscholastic teams at 4:30 and our “Late-Night” Groups after that! PRACTICE CANCELED With the strom that just came through and the one right behind it there is a Flash Flood warning in effect till 5:15 pm. There is also a tremendous amount of electricity in the air. At one point ther were over 1,000 ligthning strikes with in 8 miles of the pool. The coaching staff has decided that it is just not safe to swim this afternoon we will try again tomorrow.
It is with great sadness that I share with you that Alain Guillen, the MCDS Boys Varsity Water Polo Coach, passed away last night. Hello MCDA Swim Team Parents, Whether you observe Easter, Passover or Ramadan, we hope you had a great holiday with friends and family. As you may or may not know we have already started our Spring and Summer season. USA Swimming has two main seasons of competition, the Fall and Winter Short Course Yards (SCY) season and the Spring and Summer Long Course Meters (LCM) season.
