MEET THE TEAM

My name is Coach Addi and I am swim instructor who loves helping students build confidence in the water. With a passion for pursuing medical school, I bring patience, care, and enthusiasm to every lesson. I enjoy watching swimmers grow, learn new skills, and discover their strengths - experiences that inspire me, both as a teacher and a future healthcare professional.

Korin is a retired educator and aquatic leader from northern PA. Korin taught 6th grade for 30 years and was assistant swim coach for the high school and YMCA teams. Additionally Korin, and her husband Chuck, managed an outdoor pool for 16 consecutive summers. They were responsible for training lifeguards and instructors for swim lessons as well as ensuring the safety of all patrons. Korin is proud to be part of the Sarasota Sharks swimming family and hopes to foster a love of swimming.

Hello! My name is Lucia Justus. Outside of the pool, I am a Senior at Pine View School. I also participate in various clubs and I have volunteered as an assistant to camp counselors at the local Faulhaber Fab Lab, and Mote Marine Aquarium.

While I have been swimming since 2018, I have been with the Sarasota Sharks since 2020, when I moved from Washington, DC, to Sarasota. In May of 2023 I also became a swim instructor for the Sarasota Sharks, and since then have loved every minute of it. I have learned a lot during my time here, both from other instructors and from my own experience. I have taught all levels of swimming, though I especially enjoy instructing those in the lower levels. Overall, I’m so excited to continue my journey here at the Sarasota Sharks and I can’t wait to teach as well as to see the improvement of both new and returning students!

Swimming has been a lifelong passion of mine. I've competed in triathlons, open water events, and traditional swim meets, and I simply love being in the water—for any reason! Over the past 20 years, I’ve taught swimming at various stages and truly enjoy helping swimmers gain confidence and improve their skills.
As a parent of four (now all in their twenties), I understand how important it is for children to feel safe and comfortable in the water. My kids started in summer swim leagues before dedicating themselves to ski racing—each eventually competing at the NCAA Division I level. Their journey reminds me that with encouragement and practice, young athletes can grow in amazing ways.
At the heart of my teaching is a belief that anyone can learn to swim and improve, no matter their age or starting point. Especially in a community where water is all around us—pools, beaches, lakes—water safety isn’t optional, it’s essential. I’m passionate about helping children and adults alike become capable, confident swimmers who can safely enjoy everything the water has to offer.
