GTSA Crushed Times at FLAGS!

Our athletes believed in themselves and successfully reached their goals! With a record broken, crazy time drops and medals achieved, we are overjoyed with their performances!

Lydia Derbes competed in her very first FLAGS swim meet! She completed the 50 Backstroke, 50 Breaststroke and 50 Butterfly for 10 & Under Girls. Congratulations Lydia, we look forward to your continued success!!

Our 11-12 athletes did not disappoint! This is a very competitive age group for FLAGS and our athletes really showed us what they are made of!

Jacob Birch made finals for all of the events he completed in! While competing in the  50, 100 and 200 Breaststroke, he achieved best times for all 3 events!

Brody Tindoll competed in 5 events and finaled and achieved best times for all 3 Backstroke events! 

50, 100, 200 Backstroke, 50 Butterfly and 50 Freestyle

Alexa Weigner competed and finaled in 6 events throughout the weekend! With a time drop of over 7 seconds, she broke the 11-12 Girls GTSA 200 Breaststroke record with a 2:34.91. For all 3 Breaststroke events, she placed 1st in SOUTH FLAGS and 2nd OVERALL FLAGS!

Alex Medina competed in his last Short Course FLAGS before aging up to Senior Champs, which he qualified for during this swim meet! Competing in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, he dropped over 2 seconds in his 100 Free and achieved the qualification for 15-16 Senior Champs!
