Todd Hoffmeier

Aquatic Director & Head Age Group Coach

Todd Hoffmeier is the Aquatic Director of Greater Tampa Swim Association and the president of the South Tampa Aquatic Team, Inc.  Todd has more than 20 years of coaching experience, having taught swimmers everything from stroke technique, goal setting, self-confidence, commitment, and video analysis.  He works with all ages of swimmers from toddlers to teenagers, teaching proper technique and a love of the sport.

Originally from Arizona, Todd was a high school state champion in the 200 IM and runner-up in the 100 fly as a youth.  He came to Tampa on a University of Tampa swimming scholarship.  He swam for three years, graduating in 3½ with a bachelor of science in elementary education.  Todd has coached several of his swimmers to the collegiate level, and he has coached high school swimming, most notable, Maritza Correia, a former Olympian.  He also was selected as a Spring 2010 All-Star Coach for the 13 - 14 Boys and a Summer Zone Coach for the 11 - 12 Boys for Florida Swimming.

Additionally, Todd coaches swimming at Palma Ceia Country Club in South Tampa, starting as an assistant coach in 1995, and then promoted to head coach in 1998.  Many of his swimmers have become Private Club League Champions during his tenure as head coach.  During his competitive swim career, Todd swam under Pierre Lafontaine and Bob Gillett in Arizona.

Todd is a member of numerous coaching organizations; is certified in CPR/AED; First Aid; WSI; is an avid lifeguard trainer; is a Level 3 ASCA Swim Coach; and, he has been recognized by the USA Level 2 Swim Team recognition program.

Paul Murphy

Paul began coaching in 1980. He has dedicated his entire professional career to coaching young athletes. Paul is a Certified ASCA Senior Level 5 and Certified ASCA Age Group Level 4 coach, an original member of the World Swimming Coaches Association, a member of the international Swimming Coaches Association, a member of USA Swimming and a Certified ASCA Masters Coach. Along with his individual accomplishments, Paul has coached at Olympic Trials, USA Open and National competitions, Sectional Championship meets, All Star and Zones meets, State High School Championships, and recently assisted in coaching Junior National Team to a 2nd place finish.

Along with the above accomplishments Coach Paul has also held several LSC Board of Directors and LSC committee positions. He was also the head high school coach of the undefeated Men’s and Women’s swim teams at Bella Vista High School. Paul’s coaching philosophy is to impart and teach a Positive Belief, Accountability, Respect and Character into all his swimmers.

Tammy Hoffmeier

Dolphin & Ribbon Coach

Tammy Hoffmeier is originally from Dayton, OH and graduated from Miami University, Oxford in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and was a collegiate basketball player for the RedHawks.  Tammy moved to Tampa, FL in 1999 to take an elementary teaching position.  Tammy was a teacher for 11 years and then resigned to dedicate herself to the swim world.  Tammy currently does all the administration work for GTSA as well as assists with the Dolphin & Ribbon Groups.  Tammy also teaches swim lessons at Palma Ceia Country Club.  She has a passion working with children and loves to watch them grow with their swimming skills.  Swimming is a life skill and such a wonderful skill to have as you grow into an adult.

Shannon Graham

Dolphin & Ribbon Coach

Shannon is originally from Grand Rapids, MI.  She was an All-State swimmer in high school and graduated with a marketing degree from the University of Kentucky in 1997. 

She is a proud military spouse of 25 years and mom of four daughters.  Shannon is one of the Dolphin and White group coaches.  She has 5 years of swim coach experience as a Level 2 USA swim coach and a WSI (Water Safety Instructor).

Odeime Medina

Dolphin & Ribbon Coach

Odeime Graduated from Cuba with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Physical Education.  Odeime was on the National Swim Team for Cuba.  Her favorite strokes are backstroke and freestyle.  She also played and coached Water Polo in Medellin, Colombia for 3 years. She traveled to US in 2001 and received her citizenship in 2004. She started coaching with STAT in 2014.  She also works at Dale Mabry Elementary School as a Teacher Aide.

Lydia Ware

Silver 1 & Bronze Coach

Lydia's swimming career spans almost two decades. She swam NCAA Division I for Florida State University all four years while receiving her Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology and minors in Psychology and Child Development. She broke three school records for FSU and qualified for NCAA’s. Her specialties included sprint free, fly and IM. Additionally, she qualified for the 2012 and 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials.

Prior to her arrival in Tampa, Lydia was head coach of the Wolfson Warrior’s swim team in Jacksonville, FL for three years. She has numerous years of experience with coaching and swim lessons. She believes that learning proper technique at a young age is essential for a successful career in swimming. She hopes to inspire her swimmers to love the sport of swimming.

Lydia holds her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida and practices in town at Select Physical Therapy on South Dale Mabry. She is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and enjoys CrossFit and being outdoors in her free time.

Rachel Bohr

Silver 1 & Bronze Coach

Rachel is originally from Blue Bell, PA.  She started swimming at a young age and continued through high school.  During high school she was also an All-State Water Polo player.  She went on to study Psychology at the Univeristy of Tampa and received her degree in 2016.

She started her instructing career during high school at clinics for the local winter club and individual lessons for a local summer club.  She began coaching in 2014 with GTSA at the Palma Ceia pool, working with the Dolphin and Ribbon Group.  As her love for coaching grew, she began to work with all group levels at GTSA.  With this, she became the Boys Head Swim Coach at Robinson High School in 2018.  She leads the team in setting Personal Best and team records, along with competing in post-season championships.  While coaching with each level she stays true to her philosophy...

It is important to take things one step at a time and always put forth our best effort!  Setting goals and taking proper steps to achieve those goals is a key component of success. She enjoys sharing her love for the sport and hopes for others to develop the same love!

Jeff Feldman

Head Coach of Del Rio

Jeff started his coaching leading a Masters program and offering a few private lessons on the side. While teaching the rudiments of the sport and inspiring swimmers to reach their goals, he made the natural shift to developing swimmers full time at the competitive level. Coach Jeff believes that a positive team environment can foster the development of strong athletes. He coaches with a sharp eye for proper technique. Coach Jeff began swimming at the age of 9 for Carrollwood Village Swim Team. At age 13, Jeff’s swimming career began to gain momentum and, by 16 he was national champion in the 50 free. High School brought state titles and the attention of college recruiters, leading to the opportunity to swim for FSU. Coach Jeff enjoys sharing his knowledge and his love of swimming with young athletes.
