We had another fun filled weekend, while attending the 2022 Spring Senior Championship!
This year went back to “normal” with Senior Champs having all qualifiers compete together! Last year it was split into 2 meets, so this year was a blast competing against ALL qualifiers in our LSC. Our athletes had some new competition from around the state, which led to some amazing swims!
As always, the relay teams were all smiles and best times! GTSA competed in 4 relays:
200 & 400 Freestyle, 200 & 400 Medley
| AJ Utrera competed in 50 & 100 Backstroke, 50 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly and 200 IM and all 4 relays. AJ now holds the GTSA Boys 15-18 50 Backstroke record with a 26.12! |
TIki Keats swam the 50 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 50 Butterfly, 50 & 100 Breaststroke and the 200 & 400 Medley Relay. Tiki had amazing and beautiful swims, that led to him dropping time and feeling good about the upcoming season! |
Sander Izzi completed 50, 100 & 200 Butterfly, 500 Freestyle, 400 & 200 IM and all 4 relays. Sander achieved his goal of breaking 5:00 in the 500 Freestyle! |

Alex Medina swam for the 2nd weekend in a row and continued to show his strength in the 400 Free Relay and 400 Medley Relay. |
