Join SFS Swim Team

SwordFish Swim Team (SFS) is a USA Swimming–affiliated, year-round competitive swim program offering high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Our goal is to provide every athlete with the opportunity to develop strong swimming skills and achieve success at their individual level. To begin the process, please review the information below to schedule a swimmer evaluation.

Prerequisites for a Swim Team Evaluation

Prospective swimmers must meet the following requirements:

• Be between 8 and 18 years of age

• Be able to swim one (1) continuous 25-yard length of the pool

  • No flotation devices

  • No holding onto the wall or lane line

  • Face in the water for the duration of the swim

How to Request an Evaluation

Please email the following information to the SFS Secretary at:

• Parent/Guardian name and swimmer’s name

• Swimmer’s age and gender

• Current skill level

  • (e.g., new to swimming, summer league experience, year-round swimmer, or transferring from another team)

• Parent/Guardian contact information

Once your information is received, a member of the SFS staff will contact you to schedule a date and time for an evaluation.

Evaluation & Practice Participation

Depending on your swimmer’s experience and skill level, they may be invited to attend a full practice session. This allows our coaching staff to make an accurate assessment of the swimmer’s technique, conditioning, and readiness for team placement.

Registration

Following the evaluation, the SFS Secretary will communicate next steps, including team placement and registration details.
