Ambush had 14 of it's most dedicated athletes attend the Shreveport Last Chance Meet last weekend. Ambush competed against many of the top teams in Louisiana including YMCA of Northwest Louisiana, Longview Metro, City of Alexandria Swim Team, Christus Louisiana Aquatics, and Bulldog Aquatics. In early December, Ava Whitaker traveled down to the University of Texas to represent Ambush and compete against the top 18 and younger swimmers in the nation. Here is a recap of her amazing weekend. Our team had a very busy Decmeber with many championship meets, best times, team records, and lots of fun. Here is a quick recap of all the Championship meets that Ambush attended. Gulf 2022 Senior Champs: Gulf Senior Champs took place on Saturday, December 3rd in Katy, TX. Here we had 1 Ambush member attend, Peyton cut 2.31 seconds in her 100 yard backstroke to get a time of 1:18.88 and swam her first ever 1000 yard free with a time of 13:54.97. This past Saturday Ambush hosted its second meet of the year at the Lufkin Swim Center. The meet consisted of 101 Athletes from 5 different teams, ranging from Tyler to League City. Ambush athletes swam extremely fast, producing 22 'B' Times, 9 'BB' Times, 1 'A' Time, and 1 'AAA' Time. Along with these motivational time cuts there were countless best times, great learning experiences, and 7 team records that were broken. Ambush recently hosted its first sanctioned meet of the year at the Lufkin Swim Center. The meet might've been small but it consisted of many personal bests, new time cuts, and even a few team records. Ambush ended the two-day meet with 7 team records, 25 'B' time cuts, 13 'BB' time cuts, and 3 'A' time cuts. USA Swimming announces motivational times every Olympic cycle with 'B' time cuts being labeled as the top 55% nationally for that age group and event, 'BB' being top 35%, 'A' top 15%,...

Ambush had 92 swimmers attended the 1st annual Intersquad swim meet. The swim meet was fast, fun, and exciting. The swimmers represented Ambush really well with 174 best times, lots of encouragement, and great leadership. Coach Phil, Hannah R; Sierra B; Hannah B; and Erik are very proud of the swimmers hard work, fast times, and commitment to their team. The next swim meet will be October 22-23 at our Lufkin facility. Ambush Families, We are excited to get the ball rolling on our next USA Swimming Short Course Season. We will kick things off with an intersquad meet hosted at our Nacogdoches pool on Friday evening, September 16th, and Saturday morning, September 17th. The East Texas Summer Swim League just wrapped up its 2022 regular season this past weekend in Tyler, Tx. Ambush has the honor of representing 2 of out the 8 teams in this league with the Lufkin Sharks and Doches' Dolphins. The Lufkin Sharks had a great showing this year with 40 swimmers and respectfully placing 6th at the Championship meet.
