Aulea Weekly Update

Aloha Aulea members,

Al Minn meet week is finally here! We know that our swimmers and coaches are excited for the first invitational of the season.  Thanks to all those who have signed up to help already. We have some job vacancies still open and definitiely need more help!

For the Al Minn meet, we are asking all our swimmers to wear either the new team suit from Arena or a tech suit (The Arena Powerskin ST is a great 12-under suit for those still wondering about tech suits) of their choice if they wish.  Swimmers should either wear the classic red cap or the new white dome cap (we are asking swimmers in senior 2 and national to wear the white cap).  Caps and team suits will be at practice on Tuesday!

I have loaded the block installation jobs for the week.  The only sign up day is Tuesday as the Friday installation is part of meet set up.  Please sign up to help on Tuesday if you have time.  Our swimmers have been greatly benefitting from all the extra block work this season!

The last chance to sign up for Al Minn will be today as I plan on subimtting entries tonight.  After that, the entries are officially closed.  Please email me by 6:00 PM today to make changes or get in the meet.

There will be an intro meet at Kokokahi in 2 weeks and this meet signup will come out soon.  Please be on the lookout for this if you are in intro.

Also, since many have been asking there was a senior meet added at Punahou on 10/19.  In order to swim at senior Champs, swimmers need 1 Senior A time (they get their Senior A time and 3 bonus events at Senior Champs).  In order to swim at regular senior meets (like the one at Punahou), they need 1 senior B time to compete (and they get 2 bonus events).  Please see this link in order to see the senior program time standards and we are looking for all eligibile swimmers in national prep, Senior 2 and national to sign up for the 10/19 meet at Punahou: SR 2019-20 Standards-R1.xls (teamunify.com)

We will be on our regulary weekly practice schedule this week with 1 exception.  No dryland for any groups on FRIDAY and of course no Saturday practice due to the Al Minn meet.
