Aulea Weekly Update
Aloha Aulea members,
Great job to everyone at the Aulea Olympics! We had a great time, did many team building activities and the kids formed some amazing memories.
Training starts this week for all groups! As a reminder, here is the link to the weekly schedule:
Aulea Swim Club - Aulea Weekly Schedule Effective March 25th. Please note taht there is no morning practice this week. There is a Saturday practice at LJA from 4-6 PM for National, National Prep and Advanced Senior.
Dryland will not start until September for all groups as we start off our season by creating a solid techinical foundation for our swimmers. We will be doing a special dryland practice this week for the National Group on Friday. We will be starting practice at 4:45 PM and having an ultimate frisbee game before getting in the water.
Please keep in mind that our first meet is the Red and White Intersquad meet. This year the meet will be held on August 29th and will be done as a block party, meaning that the times will be going in to the USA swimming database.
We really need MORE USA SWIMMING OFFICIALS this season. The best way to start getting involved is to learn officiating as an apprentice at this first block party meet. Did you know that due to the size of our club, Aulea is required to have 10 USA swimming officials that work at least 10 sessions a year? We have many dedicated officials but aren't at 10. Not meeting that goal can result in fines to the club from Hawaiian Swimming. Please stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved in officiating.
Go Aulea!
Coach Joe
