Hello SWAT! IES Champs are this weekend at the University of Idaho aquatic Center. SWAT has 49 swimmers attending the meet year compared to only 40 swimmers last year. We’re seated well going into the meet but are going to have to race hard for the win. Remember only the Top 8 score and it is our goal to get everyone into scoring position. Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 19th SWAT is pleased to announce that two special guests; Olympian Norris Frederick and NFL Wide Receiver DiAndre Campbell will be at Whitworth at approximately 7:30pm to speak with our swimmers about their experience at the elite level. SWAT Swimmers Place 4th Overall at the 2019 Wa Open 23 swimmers from SWAT attended the 2019 WA Open in Federal Way, WA this past weekend finishing 4th in the Overall Team Division. Both the Boys and Girls Teams significantly bettered their 2018 performances: Girls finished 3rd with 290 points compared to their 2018, 5th Place finish with 200.5 points and the Boys finished 8th this year with 183 points compared to their 2018, 26th place finish with only 16 points scored. SWAT achieved 32 New All Time Top 10 swims and Six New Team Records at the Winter Invite and USA Swimming Junior Nationals this past weekend. This was the inaugural Winter Invite at Whitworth.
