Coach Mike has been coaching since 2009 and is the Head Coach for the Lemont Park District Dolphins (since October 2024) and Head Coach for Boys and Girls Swimming at Lemont High School. He specializes in Breaststroke and Freestyle, and his focus is on helping swimmers grow as athletes and individuals through a positive, goal-driven environment.

Under his leadership, Lemont High School celebrated the Girls SSC Conference Championship in 2024 and the Boys SSC Championship in 2025. At the club level, the Dolphins have thrived — winning the SSSC Red Division Championship in Winter 2024–25 and moving up to capture the SSSC Blue Division Championship in Summer 2025.

Coach Mike’s philosophy is to make swimming more than just a sport — he views it as an escape, a passion, and a source of confidence. Each season is carefully structured through training phases of Conditioning, Endurance, Combination, Sprint, Taper, and Specialized Taper, balancing hard work with fun. His goal is to ensure swimmers build strong fundamentals, confidence, and friendships that last well beyond the pool.

He is ASCA Level 2 certified, ASEP certified, and a member of USA Swimming.
