This is a beginner diving course that teaches individuals the fundamental skills and safety techniques needed to perform basic dives from a springboard, including proper approach, entry positions, body posture, and basic dive types like forward dives and back dives, usually starting with simple movements and gradually progressing to more complex maneuvers as skills develop; this is suitable for individuals with basic swimming abilities who want to learn the basics of diving.

Basic Safety Procedures:
Proper pool entry and exit, understanding pool depth requirements for different dives, awareness of other pool users.
Springboard Mechanics:
Learning how to utilize the springboard's flexibility for optimal launch, proper foot placement, and timing for the jump.
Approach Techniques:
Practicing different approaches like the "forward approach" and "back press" to gain proper momentum for the dive.
Entry Positions:
Mastering basic dive positions like "tuck" (knees pulled to chest), "pike" (legs straight and pointed), and "straight" (body fully extended).
Basic Dive Types:
Learning to execute basic dives like forward dives (facing the pool and rotating forward), backward dives (facing away from the pool and rotating backward).
Water Entry Technique:
Focusing on proper body alignment and hand entry to minimize impact with the water and breathing control.
