My name is Katarzyna Kadzielawski, and I was born and raised in Kraków, Poland. At the age of eight, I was invited to join a specialized swimming school. By 13, I qualified for the prestigious Championship School of Swimming in Kraków—one of only five elite institutions in Poland dedicated to developing professional swimmers. These schools follow an intensive 15-hour daily training schedule and support athletes throughout their careers, including into college.During the final five years of my competitive swimming career, I trained under the Head Coach of the Polish National Swimming Team and consistently placed in the top four at the Polish National Championships.I earned my master’s degree from the Academy of Physical Education in Kraków, specializing in psychosomatic regeneration, with a minor in physical education and a focus on swimming coaching. My academic background includes sport psychology, physiology, biochemistry, and nutrition. In addition to swimming, I’m a certified ski instructor and hold a three-star CMAS scuba diving certification.I moved to the United States in late 2001 and began working as a personal trainer and life coach. Early in my career, I developed a program to train personal trainers on how to work effectively with clients and design personalized fitness plans. In 2008, my husband and I opened Equilibrium Personal Training Studio, where we continue to work with a diverse range of clients. Our services include sport-specific training, weight loss programs, post-physical therapy recovery, and coaching for amateur triathletes and runners. For 14 years, I competed as an amateur athlete in numerous half and full marathons, qualifying for both the Boston and New York Marathons. I’ve also completed several half and full Ironman races.Recently, my focus has shifted toward supporting my children’s athletic development and helping them discover a love for fitness and an active lifestyle. We’re also proud pet owners and passionate animal lovers.
