June 16, 2017 DCST was represented by only 28 swimmers in the dual meet with Cary. It was disappointing to only have 28 swimmers representing DCST, but they swam well. Take a moment to congratulate these swimmers for showing their DCST pride at Cary. There were some rather large time drops by Cole Moon, Collin Moon, Aiden Page, Hunter Smith, Brendan Sullivan, Calvin VanderSchee, and Jared VanderSchee. DCST at Joliet USA Meet The Kishwaukee YMCA / DeKalb County Swim Team (DCST) finished second place in the men’s division and 10th place in the women’s division at the Joliet USA Meet on June 9 - 11 in Chicago. June 7, 2017 The Kishwaukee YMCA / DeKalb County Swim Team (DCST) won its first dual meet of the season with a 412 - 298 point victory over the visiting Geneva River Rats on Tuesday, June 6th. As a team, DCST swam okay with 85 personal lifetime best times out of a total of a 237 individual swims. The 2017 SCY YMCA Nationals ended on Friday, 4/7/17. Nathan Braun added the 200 butterfly to his list of National qualifying swims for the summer meet and the 2018 SCY Meet. Over the course of the week, the swimmers had some great swims and some learning experiences. DCST had 10 rookies at the meet this season and three veterans. Monday, April 03, 2017 the 2017, YMCA National Meet starts in Greensboro, NC. This year DCST will have 13 swimmers, 3 women’s relays and 4 men’s relays. The swimmers will start the week with the 200 freestyle relays and the 1000 free. These events will start on Monday evening. DCST Alumni Daniel Hein Takes 3rd at NCAA Swimming Championships On Thursday, March 23 at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship in Indianapolis, IN, DCST Alumni Daniel Hein was part of the University of Missouri’s 400 Medley Relay which placed 3rd. Daniel lead off the relay with a personal best time of 45.99 in the 100-yard Backstroke. Daniel, a Freshman, was teamed up with 3 Seniors, Fabian Schwingenschloegl, Andrew Sansoicie and Michael Chadwick.
