WAIVERS AND IMPORTANT POLICIES

Age/Residency Verification: New ISL members, or former ISL members returning after one or more

years; absence from the ISL, must show original age verification at the time of registration with their

team, along with a copy to be turned in to the ISL Registrar. All ISL members must provide residency

verification annually at the time of registration with their team, along with copies to be turned in to the

ISL Registrar. Registration will not be accepted without these documents.

Release from Liability-Swimmer: My child is currently in good physical condition and can participate in

all swim team activities, unless written notification is delivered to the team Head Coach and team’s

President. Should any illness or accident occur to my child during swim team activities (including travel),

I hereby, and in advance, waive, release, and discharge any and all rights and claims for damages which

child or parent may have against the swim team, the Irvine Swim League, or agents or representatives

thereof. I authorize any emergency treatment and agree to be responsible financially for charges

thereof.

Insurance-Swimmer: I understand the ISL's liability insurance covers team workouts and ISL swim meets.

Any other event to be covered by ISL insurance must have prior written approval from the ISL Board of

Directors. I understand that a swimmer may be removed from the team for water safety issues at the

sole and absolute discretion of the team Head Coach or the Team President. Individual or private

swim lessons with an individual who is also an ISL coach are not covered by ISL insurance but are private

arrangements between instructor and the swimmer's guardian.

Commitment of Parents: I agree to abide by the Bylaws and Rules of the Irvine Swim League (see ISL

website) and understand the ISL emphasizes safety, participation and individual time improvement. I

understand I will be required to donate my time to the operation of my child's swim team and meets.

Media Release/Photo Waiver: I give permission to the ISL to include my child's name in ISL meet and

event information in print, ISL websites (including individual team websites) and ISL social media outlets.

I give permission to allow my child to be photographed and or filmed. I understand that these pictures

and videos may be used in a variety of publications, including but not limited to my team’s website, the

Irvine Swim League website, ISL Facebook and Twitter pages and publication in the Orange County

Register/Irvine World News.

Important Policies for Fun Racer Registrants:

ISL meet and event information in print, ISL websites (including individual team websites) and ISL social

media outlets.
