Jill Herbst: Head Coach

Coach Jill's coaching journey began in 2012, working as an age group coach for the Findlay Area Swim Team and later coaching for The University of Findlay Swim Team. She has also served as an IMAX swim camp coach at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In November 2021, she began coaching LRST serving as the primary Silver Group coach then moving into the position as Head Coach. Her former years as a swimmer have included various LESI affiliated club teams as well as the varsity swim team at Kenston High School. She swam at the University of Findlay, earning the collegiate title "All American," at the national level. When Coach Jill isn't busy on the pool deck, she enjoys spending time with her husband and pets.
Celeste Simcox
Assistant Coach - Bronze, Silver, Gold
Coach Celeste has been an assistant coach with LRST since 2021. Her previous coaching history includes coaching summer league in Grandview Heights, Ohio as well as coaching the middle school swim team at Grandview Heights during the winter season. She is a huge fan of swimming, for the health benefits, for cultivating strong work habits, and for the social aspects of the sport. In highschool, Coach Celeste swam on the varsity team at Magnificat and also was a proud member of LRST all throughout high school. She is excited for another season and hopes to see lots of participation at swim meets! In her free time Coach Celeste loves teaching, working on her tennis skills, swimming and reading!
Ethel Woodford
Assistant Coach - Bronze, Silver
Coach Ethel has served as a LRST coach since 2021. She was a former LRST swimmer and graduate of LHS.
Sean O'Connor
Assistant Coach - Gold
Coach Sean joined the staff of LRST in the spring of 2024. He also serves as an assistant swim coach to the Lakewood High School Swim Team and works as a teacher in the Lakewood School system.
